Abstract

CONSTITUTION: 1W3mol Aldehyde, e.g., formaldehyde etc. and 0.05W0.5mol ammonia catalyst, e.g., ammonia, hexamethylenetetramine, primary amine, secondary amine, etc. are added to 1mol phenol, e.g., cresol, etc. Preferably 0.005W 0.1mol trialkylamine, e.g., trimethylamine, etc. is then added, a reaction is carried out at 40W100°C, and concentration through dehydration is done at not higher than 500mmHg, to give the desired cast resin.
