Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent oil leakage by eliminating mixing of air into bearing oil and generation of oil mist, by providing a check valve, which is opened by centrifugal force of bearing oil, on outside circumferential side of an oil-draining hole communicating inside to outside of a thrust collar. CONSTITUTION:In case when a thrust collar 2 which is fixed to a rotary shaft is soaked in bearing oil, a check valve 15 is provided on outside circumferential side of an oil-draining hole communicating the inside circumferential side to the outside circumferential side of the thrust collar 2. This check valve is so designed that when bearing oil on the inside circumferential side of the thrust collar 2 is, by the centrifugal force, just about to move toward the outside circumferential side with the rotation of the rotary shaft, it is not opened by air discharge force but is opened only by the centrifugal force of the oil. As it is possible, by doing so, to prevent the check valve 15 from opening even at the time when air flowed into the oil-draining hole 9 and also air from flowing into bearing oil on outside circumferential side of the thrust collar, it is enabled to prevent generation of oil mist and leak of oil.
