Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the rising speed characteristics when starting a stepping motor and stabilize the speed when driving the motor at a fixed speed by providing delay time in proportion to the speed between the feedback pulse from an encoder and the timing for switching the exciting phase of the motor. CONSTITUTION:By the output of an encoder 11 linked with the shaft of a stepping motor M, a pulse generating circuit 12 generates a feedback pulse, and this pulse is inputted to a selective delay time circuit 13. This selective delay time circuit 13 internally contains the first gate which allows the feedback pulse no delay if the speed of revolution does not reach the specified value when starting the motor, and the second gate which allows the pulse delay if the speed exceeds the specified value. An exciting phase switching circuit 14 using the output signal of the selective delay time circuit 13 as an input outputs a phase switching pulse. The output is supplied to the motor M via a driving amplifier 15, so that the motor M is driven. Therefore, the angle of lead of the pulse is greater when starting the motor, and smaller when operating it at a fixed speed.
