Abstract

PURPOSE: To make plastic seat frames for driver's seat and assistant driver's seat with a common molding form by first molding a frame with two hinge parts symmetrical to the left and right and, then, cutting off one of the hinges to provide space for mounting a reclining device.
CONSTITUTION: A cushion frame 1 symmetrical to the left and right and having hinge parts 2, 2a at both sides is molded from plastics. One of the hinge parts 2, 2a is then cut off as shown by the two-dotted chain line in the attached illustration to from a recess 4 for fixing a reclining device. The hinge part to be cut in the frame for a driver's seat shall be opposite to that in the frame for an assistant driver's seat. A back frame 10 is alike provided with two hinge parts 11, 11a, and a recess 13 for fixing the reclining device shall be formed in such a way as mating with the above recess 4. According to this arrangement, seat frames for assistant driver's seats can be molded with that molding form used in molding those for driver's seat.
