Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts of a wheel and promote the efficiency of their assembly by respectively providing a fixed flange on the bead seat on one side of the rim of the wheel and screw threads in the bead seat on the other side of the rim and screwing a flange ring on the threads.
CONSTITUTION: This wheel is composed of a rim 1a made of plastics, cast iron, or the like and a disk 1b connected thereto. The rim 1a is provided with a pair of bead seats 2 and 3 on each of its sides and ridges 4 and 5 inside their corresponding bead seats, at locations adjacent to the seats. A fixed flange 6 is provided on the outside of the bead seat 2, while screw threads 7 are formed in the outside of the bead seat 3 for screwing a flange ring 9. For mounting a tire on this wheel, one bead part of the tire is placed in an annular catity 8, and the other bead part is pushed in toward the bead seat 3. Then, the ring 9 is screwed in the screw threads 7.
