Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a logic access for the process input/output, by changing the control information to a control device into a table at the side of a process input/ output control device and incorporating a data converter.
CONSTITUTION: The address converting table device 22 performs a mutual conversion between the logic address of the control computer 1 and the card address having a 1:1 correspondence between the input/output devices of the plants 5 and 6. The data converter 23 converts the engineering data such as the temperature, pressure and the like which are handled by the computer 1 into the control data such as the voltage and current values which are handled at the plants 5 and 6. Both the device 22 and the converter 23 are included in the logic input/output device 21, and a virtural and direct connection is given between the device 21 and the plants 5/6. Thus a logic acces is possible for the process input/output by means of the device 22 and the adaptor function of the converter 23.
