Abstract

PURPOSE: To automate the concentric or spiral reproduction of an optical disk device, by detecting whether an information track is concentric or sprial.
CONSTITUTION: Reproduced video signal (i) is outputted from FM demodulator 41 and synchronizing signal (j) from synchronizing signal separating circuit 42. Address-signal sampling gate circuit 44 samples and outputs only address signal (l) in reproduced video signal (i) with pulse (k) of address sampling pulse generating circuit 43. Circuit 45 is a circuit that decodes address signal (l) into a digital signal, which is stored alternately in memory circuits 46 and 47 every time a disk motor rotates once. Once a concentric track is acquired by an optical system unit, invariably the same address is outputted and a coincidence output appears at the terminal of coincidence detecting circuit 48.
