Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably support a connector before an automobile is equipped with apparatuses additionally, by providing a fitting portion for fittingly supporting a switch connector on the back surface of a blank cap for closing a mounting hole of an operating switch for the apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: When an A/C switch 7 (compressor switch) is additionally provided on one side of a control unit 2 for an air conditioner of an automobile, an instrument panel 1 is formed on one side of the unit 2 with a square mounting hole 5 to mount the A/C switch and be closed with a blank cap 6. This blank cap 6 is provided on the upper and lower portions of the back surface with tongues 13, 13 which are sanpped into the upper and lower edges of the mounting hole 5. Also, it has on the back surface a fitting portion 16 consisting of projections 14 having same shape as male terminals 12 of the switch 7, sandwiching pieces 15 bearing against both sides of a connector 4, etc. to permit the connector 4 to be fitted and supported before it is fitted in the mounting hole 5 for the switch 7.
