Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate removal of water drops stuck to a backmirror during rain by disposing in opposition to the front face of the backmirror an air outlet port through which compressed air introduced thereto from an air blower or an air compressor is blown against the backmirror front face.
CONSTITUTION: Compressed air is produced by an air blower or an air compressor 3 provided in an engine room and is introduced through an air passage 2 to a backmirror arrangement 1. The compressed air is thus blown against the front face of a mirror 6a downwardly from an air outlet port. Accordingly, water drops adhered to the front face of the mirror 6 is caused to flow down along the mirror front face by air streams, thereby maintaining the mirror face in good reflectivity. Air and water drops having reached the lower end of the mirror 6 are then discharged through an air blow-out portion 7 provided at a lower portion of an outside frame 4 of a mirror body.
