Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the span of a horizontal beam by constituting an out rigger such that a hollow arm for slidably supporting a horizontal beam having an expansion support leg is disposed to extend from a car body frame in a widthwise direction of the car and has provided at an end thereof a spacing adapted to receive the expansion support leg therein.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of arms 7 are welded at the base ends thereof to left and right side walls of a car body frame 1 and extend to the full width of the car. Each arm 7 includes a top plate 8, a bottom plate 9, and side plates 10, 11 and has a tubular construction. A partition plate 12 is secured at the intermediate of the tubular member to form a spacing for receiving therein a hydraulic cylinder 4 provided at an end of a horizontal beam 3. Meanwhile, reinforcing members 14, 15 for guiding the horizontal beam 3 are integrally provided at the lower ends of outer portions of the side plates 10, 11 relative to the partition plate 12, thus forming an extreme-pressure bearing guide. The arm 7 is cooperative with a clamplike holder member 18 to slidably support the horizontal beam 3 thereon. The holder member 18 has opposite upper ends thereof fastened to the arm 7 by means of a pin 19 which is reinforced between the side plates 10, 11 by means of a bushing 20 disposed to surround the pin 19.
