Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible automatic correction of biasing of a photoreceptor by detecting the correcting marks provided between the timing marks on the photoreceptor and correcting the count data of clock pulses. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 3 has a length equivalent to 2 segments, and is so arranged that images for two sheets of copies are carried thereon. Timing marks 18, 19 are provided on this photoreceptor 3 in correspondence to the respective segments, and the timing marks 18, 19 are read with a reflection type photosensor so that the timing pulses are obtained. Further, correcting marks 27, 28 are provided each one between the timing marks 18, 19, and the correction of the timings is accomplished accurately by means of the timing pulses and the correcting pulses.
