Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a desired gain by varying the electric lengths of elements for an antenna by a control signal from a receiver. CONSTITUTION:Through the operation of receiving tuning knob 20 of FM tuner 10, slider 21 of variable resistor 19 is driven and the voltage of slider 21 is applied to a varactor diode to exercise tuning control over an input tuning circuit and local oscillating tuning circuit. On the other hand, coil 25 and voltage varactor diode 26 are interposed in series between two antenna elements 241 and 242 of half-wavelength dipole antenna 24 and through coaxial cable 27, the voltage of slider 21 is applied across diode 26, whose capacity is varied with the voltage to vary the electric length of antenna 24, thereby equalizing the tuning frequency of antenna 26 to a reception frequency.
