Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce heat generation to make the operation high-efficiency, by using the switching regulator as the power source voltage modulator in the class A power amplifying device having an amplitude modulated power source.
CONSTITUTION: The DSB-modulated signal by switching regulator 21 is applied to the primary side of transmission transformer T1. In the secondary side of transformer T1, duplex switch S is switched synchronously with DSB-modulation by the output of synchronizing signal generating circuit 23. As a result, the output signal of the same waveform as the input signal is given as a signal which oscillates the power source of output stage 13 of the class A power amplifier.
