Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of distortion by feeding a signal, similar to the base current of a transistor constituting a differential amplifier for gain control, back to its base. CONSTITUTION:A signal applied to input terminal 8 is amplified by transistor 3, the collector current of which is shunted to transistors 1 and 2 according to a differential base input based upon the voltage change of variable DC power source 5 and the current shunted to transistor 2 flows to transistor 21 and resistance 6, so that an output brought under gain control will be led out from output terminal 7. To the base circuit composed of transistors 20 and 21, a current Miller circuit is connected, and consequently collector currents Ic22 and Ic25 of transistors 22 and 25 that are to be output currents of the current Miller circuit become equal to base currents Ib20 and Ib21 of transistors 20 and 21. Those currents Ic22 and Ic25 are fed back to feedback base resistances 17 and 18 connected to bases of transistors 1 and 2 to eliminate influences of the series resistances, suppressing the generation of distortion.
