Abstract
PURPOSE:To extend the margin degree of the lock range of the PLL circuit frequency offset and so on, by inserting the frequency dividing circuit of a proper frequency division ratio to reduce the instantaneous change quantity of the phase and by multiplying it in the PLL circuit. CONSTITUTION:After subjected to binary-quad conversion in converting circuit 10, the input signal subjects the carrier wave, which is input from input terminal 12 and is divided in frequency dividing circuit 13 by the 1/2, to 4-phase PSK modulation in modulating circuit 11. The output is input to the PLL circuit consisting of phase comparing circuit 14, low-pass filter circuit 15, oscillating circuit 16, and frequency dividing circuit 17 and has phase change smoothed to obtain a modulation output signal at output terminal 18. Here, frequency dividing circuit 17 has the same frequency division ratio 1/2 as frequency dividing circuit 13 and has a function to multiplying the frequency of the modulation output signal into the frequency of the original carrier wave.
