Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to correct an illumination intensity variance with a high precision, by providing a fluorescent material, which has the light emission peak in the wave length region insensitive to a photoreceptor, besides the fluorescent material, which generates a light emission bright point for picture recording, on the fluorescent face of the CRT. CONSTITUTION:The first fluorescent material A which forms a optical image due to a light emission bright point according to picture input information for every one scanning line and the second fluorescent material B which forms a light emission bright point for correction of illumination intensity variance on material A are provided on the fluorescent face of the CRT. Then, illumination intensity variance is detected from the light emission bright point generated in the second fluorescent material B, and the CRT is subjected to luminance modulation according to this correction signal to correct illumination intensity variance.
