Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a titled can barrel part to be extracted from a punch end part safely despite oscillation of the punch by arraying the plural fingers having the jaw parts engageable with the opening end edge of a drawn-ironed can barrel body self-alignably in an annular shape.
CONSTITUTION: A drawn-ironed can barrel body 3 formed with a recess 3b in the bottom is reset in an arrow direction together with a punch 2. When the opening end edge 3 reaches the position of the jaw parts 4a of an extracting device 1, the convex part projecting most engages the jaw parts 4a and the fingers 4 having said jaw parts 4a retreat by pressing an elastic member 7, and at the same time they give the force in an extracting direction to the can barrel body 3. Next, the second most projecting convex part engages the jaw parts 4a, and finally the engagement of the most concave recess is accomplished, thus approximately uniform pressing pressure is acted upon the entire circumference of the end edge 3a, whereby the can barrel body 3 is extracted from the punch 2. Even if the punch 2 oscillates at this time, the entire part of the annular part formed by the respective fingers 4 self- alings; hence the can barrel body 3 is extracted smoothly like in the case in which there is no oscillation.
