Abstract

PURPOSE: To identify individuals securely in safety by magnetically recording on owner's voice pattern on his or her individual identification card and by collating the voice pattern recorded on the card with a user's voice pattern when the identification card is to be used.
CONSTITUTION: An individual identification ID card has magnetic recording part 11, wherein the owner's voice pattern is recorded in advance. When the user sets his and her ID card in ID card reader 2, microprocessor 3 sends a control signal to reader 2 via control line 12 to read the voice pattern recorded in recording part 11 and records it in user's pattern memory 4 successively. Meanwhile, the user's voice is sent from imicrophone 5 to voice analyzing circuit 6, which makes frequency analysis 7 and performs A/D conversion 8, whose result is stored in input voice buffer 9 under the control of processor 3. Then, outputs of memory 4 and buffer 9 are compared 10 with each other to detect identity or nonidentity. Thus, individuals are identified with cards securely and safely.
