Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the provision of a bypass duct conventionally used by supporting rotatably a heat exchanger of an opposed flow type in which a heat exchange is performed between the external air and the exhaust air from inside of a room so that an external air introduction passage and an exhaust air discharge passage will communicate with each other.
CONSTITUTION: a duct system in the air conditioning equipment for a building usually comprises an introduction duct 11 for introducing the external air into an air conditioner, an exhaust duct 12 for discharging the exhaust air from the room 4, and a branch duct 13 for recirculating a part of the exhaust air to the air conditioner 2. The introduction duct 11 and the exhaust duct 12 are formed integrally with a partition interposed therebetween. Within these ducts 11 and 12, there is provided an opposed flow type heat exchanger 1 at such a position as to interrupt the flow passages of these ducts 11 and 12. The heat exchanger 1 is supported rotatably around a rotary shaft 14. When the heat exchanger 1 is not used for air cooling nor air warming, it is rotated to be parallel with the air flowing direction and fixed there, thereby enabling the use of both ducts 11 and 12 only.
