Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an excess water supply under abnormal conditions and facilitate maintenance of combustion by a method wherein automatic valves are fitted in a fuel oil supply pipe and a feed water pipe, and the fuel oil supply pipe is connected with an emulsion fuel supply pipe by a bypass pipe fitted with an automtic valve.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel oil supply pipe 28 and a feed water pipe 30 are fitted respectively with an automatic valve 20 and an automatic valve 32, and the fuel oil supply pipe 28 is connected with an emulsion fuel supply pipe 42 by a bypass pipe 50 fitted with an automatic valve 52. Accordingly, when the pressures in the fuel oil supply system and the feed water supply system are abnormal, pressure switches 24, 34 function to close the automatic valve 32, thereby preventing an excess water supply for a mixer 12. Further, when the delivery pressure of a pump 38 is abnormal, a pressure switch 46 functions to stop the driving of the pump 38, stop the automatic valves 20, 32, and open the automatic valve 52, resulting in that the fuel oil is fed from a pump 16 directly to a burner 14 and combustion is maintained.
