Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for pressing a suspended door glass plate to the titled plate is composed of a male bending die member consisting of many exchangeable pressing rods 5 each provided with a built-in heater, connected to flexible belt 8 vertically parallelly, and supported by bent frame 6 having fixed curvature and a vertically and laterally movable female bending member consisting of exchangeable upper and lower receiving die frames 17, 18 and vertical die frames 19, 20 each provided with a built-in heater and having fixed radius of curvature. Both the members are arranged adjustably. Asbestos flat pieces 30 are stuck to the surfaces of the members contacting to the glass plate. By this method, the titled plate can be formed with enhanced thermal efficiency in a reduced production time without damaging the surface.
