Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible sharp imprinting and low power and low voltage operation by providing a field effect type display body displaying desired data patterns by signals between the opening window of a camera and a film.
CONSTITUTION: Incident light through the opening part 13 of a camera body 33 irradiates a film 11 via a lens 13, a reflection mirror 16, a liquid crystal display body 12 (10), and a reflection mirror 17. A signal generator 5 sends the signal of a fixed time width corresponding to the output of a photodetector 29 (31) detecting the quantity of external light to a display control part 8 in synchronization with a shutter release input 6. The control part 8 outputs the data (year, month and date signal) from a clocking device only during the generation of the signal from the signal generator 5, while an imprinting switch 9 is ON, and displays the same in a liquid crystal display body of field effect type 10 (12) via a driving circuit 30. Since the liquid crystal display body 12 is irradiated with external light, the sharp imprinting is accomplished with low power and low voltage.
