PURPOSE:To suppress the hunting of a control system due to variation in the load by superimposing a signal representing the torque generated in the motor with a difference signal between a set speed value and an actual speed and controlling the generated torque together with the speed of the motor. CONSTITUTION:The difference between the speed signal set by a speed setting unit 3 and the actual speed signal of a tachometer generator 6 provided at the motor 2 is produced from an addition point 4, and is applied to a speed controller 5. The output of the controller 5 is added to a signal passed through a discriminator 13 for the torque of the motor 2 as detected by torque detectors 10, 11, is applied through a torque controller 8 to a firing control circuit 9 for controlling the motor 2. When the speed of the motor 2 is accordingly accelerated and the motor becomes necessary to control its torque, the discriminator 13 will apply large negative signal to the addition point 7 and will lower the signal of the torque controller 8. Consequently, the motor can be stably set to the set speed rapidly.
