Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain long length composite insulating tube continuously, by applying lengthwise raw insulating tape for the lower layer on a core rod, winding obliquely the raw insulating tape for upper layer, forming them into a tube and drawing off the tube after adhering and hardening by heating.
CONSTITUTION: The raw insulating tape for the lower layer 3, being applied lengthwise on the core rod 2 of a circular section, is taken up through the clearance 5 between the guide die 4 arranged coaxially to the core rod 2 and the surface of the core rod 2 and forms the tubular object 6 rounded in the logitudinal direction. The insulating tape for the upper layer 7 is continuously wound obliquely on the tubular object 6 and the solvent which swells the adhesive or the raw tapes 3, 7 themselves is applied continuously on the surface of the shaped tubular object and heated, adhered and hardened continuously through the heating oven 8, then the shaped insulating tube 1 is drawn off continuously from the core rod 2.
