Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficient utilization of waste heat in foamable molding of the resin particle, by supplying hot waste water from steam drain, low temperature steam etc. to the steam chamber of the mold and also utilizing it for preheating of the compressed air used for molding. CONSTITUTION:Steam drain and low temperature steam formed during heating operation and hot waste water recovered during initial cooling operation are put together to hot water and recovered to the tank 23. This is supplied to the steam chamber 5, 6 of the mold by the air pressure via the conduits 14, 10 and the pressure in the tank is returned to the atmospheric pressure by closing the valves 12, 21 and opening the valve 22. Also, compressed air is preheated by the heat exchanger 24 in the tank 23 and utilized for the process of filling the cavity 7 with foamable thermoplastic resin particle, draining of residual water in the mold via the valve 13 and releasing of the molded article.
