Abstract

PURPOSE: An adhesive tape, consisting of a fabric having a wholly laminated layer of an adhesive material on one side and a partially laminated layer of the adhesive material on the other side, and having the releasability on the rear thereof without requiring a release paper.
CONSTITUTION: A solution 2 of an adhesive material is applied to a release paper 1 by a roll coater 3, and a padding cloth 4, preferably a fabric having weaves or stitches, is pressed to the coated release paper 1 by a press roll 5 having local grooves to permeate the solution 2 of the adhesive material into the pressed part of the padding cloth 4 and float the surface of the unpressed part from the solution 2 of the adhesive material. The resultant padding cloth 4 pressed to the release paper 1 is dried in a drying oven 6 to give the aimed adhesive tape having partially exposed surface of the padding cloth 4. The adhesive tape is then rolled with the release paper 1, and the rolled tape 8 is unrolled to wind the release paper 1 by a release paper winding roll 10 and wind the aimed adhesive tape containing the padding cloth 4 by an adhesive tape winding roll 11.
EFFECT: The release paper is reutilizable.
