Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A concavity 1a is provided on the back side of a stave 1, and partition plates are inserted along the concavity 1a to divide the aperture between the iron skin 2 of blast furnace and the stave 1 into several sections. A shapeless refractory is flowed into the divided apertures. Thus, since constructing ranges for every partitioned section are properly optimized, the casting of a shapeless refractories can be uniformly attained without forming any aperture.
