Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having high adhesivity and excellent flexural resistance and impact strength even after heat-treatment, by compounding a specific polyethylene terephthalate resin with a modified polyolefin resin graft-polymerized with an unsaturated carboxylic acid.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyethylene terephthalate resin wherein ≥80mol% of the dicarboxylic acid component is terephthalic acid and ≥90mol% of the diol component is ethylene glycol, is blended with (B) 5W40pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin graft-polymerized with a grafting monomer selected from unsaturated carboxylic acid and its derivative (esp. maleic acid, etc.) in an amount of pref. 0.001W10mol% per 100g of the polyolefin. An electrical wire is coated with the composition by melt extrusion. When the diameter of the copper wire is ≤3mm, the thickness of the coating film is usually ≤100μ.
