Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the heat transferring efficiency of a heat exchanger, by connecting upper and lower tube plates by heat transferring tubes with their phases shifted, and by forming a hyperboloid of one sheet or a similar curved surface over the inside of a cylindrical part.
CONSTITUTION: The space between an upper tube plate 2 and a lower tube plate 3 is connected by heat transferring tubes 4 of straight tubes, opening into respective tube plate. The upper ends of heat transferring tubes 4 are connected to the tube plate 2a on the lower side of the upper tube plate 2, while the lower ends of the tubes 4 are connected to the upper side of a tube plate 3a of the lower tube plate 3. To the lower side of tube plate 2a of the upper tube plate 2, a number of heat transferring tubes 4 are arranged. The upper side of tube plate 3a of the lower tube plate 3 is connected to heat transferring tubes 4, shifting each other, with the same difference of phases in the direction of the same phases than the position of the upper tube plate 3a, directly below the position where heat transferring tubes 4 are connected to the upper tube plate 2.
