Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier which does not require high temp. firing, is non- tacky, has high film strength, and gives stable and good images under wide temp. and humidity conditions by covering the surfaces of carrier nuclear particles with a covering material contg. a specific fluorine-contg. block polymer. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of carrier nuclear particles are covered with the polymer expressed by the formula[A, B are polymer chain segments, one of which is a polymer chain segment of 30,000-1,200,000mol.wts. selected from polymers of CF2=CH2/CF3CF=CF2/CF2=CF2 of (45-90)/(5-50)/(0-35) copolymer ratios (molar ratios), polymers of CF2=CH2/CF3CH=CF2/CF2=CF2 of (45- 90)/(5-50)/(0-35) copolymer ratios, etc., and the other of which is polymer chain segment of 10,000-400,000mol.wts. consisting of polymers of CF2=CH2/CF2= CF2 of (0-100)/(0-100) copolymer ratios, and are block polymer chains of 10- 95 to 5-90 weight ratios of the former segment to the latter segment, n is the number of bonds of R], whereby the carrier having a long life, electrostatic charging characteristics and permitting high speed copying is obtained.
