Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled inhibitor in high reaction ratio without breaking a latex of an epoxy-containing polymer, by adding an aliphatic carboxylic acid having a specific number of carbon atoms to a reaction system comprising the epoxy-containing polymer in latex state and an amino group-containing compound.
CONSTITUTION: (C) 5W20C (Un)saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid(most preferably stearic acid, lauric acid, linoleic acid, sebacic acid) is added to (A) an epoxy group-containing polymer(e.g., epoxy group-containing polybutadiene, etc.) in latex state and (B) a compound containing a primary amino group(e.g., p-aminophenol, etc.) in such a way thet the amount of the component B is preferably 0.8W1.2mol based on 1mol epoxy group of the component A and the amount of the component C is 0.1W1mol. The blended components are reacted preferably at 40W80°C for 5W15hr to give a reaction product, which is coagulated to give the desired inhibitor.
