Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition useful as a tire of low fuel cost, etc., having high molulus, improved resistance to crack growth, resistance to cutting and impact resilience, obtained by blending rubber with specific micro organic short fibers and carbon black.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, synthetic polyisoprene rubber, butyl rubber, halogenated butyl rubber, polybutadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer rubber, etc. is blended with (B) 10W100pts.wt. carbon black, and (C) 3W30pts.wt. micro organic short fibers (e.g., polyvinyldiene chloride, etc.) having a glass transtion temperature of amorphous part ≤30°C or ≥120°C, the melting point of crystal part ≥160°C, average short fiber length 0.8W 30μm, average short diameter 0.02W0.8μm, and a ratio of length of shrt fiber to diameter 8W400.
