Abstract
PURPOSE: To make use of a large compressor or the like unnecessary and to thereby reduce the size of an apparatus, by atomizing injection fuel into fine particles positively by used of an incondensable and combustible pressure gas obtained throughmodification of a liquid fuel.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel pressurized by a fuel pump 14 is supplied to an injection valve 13 and a fuel modifier 17, and liquid fuel supplied to the modifier 17 is modified into an incondensable, combustible gas such as hydrogen through absorption of heat possessed by exhaust gas of an engine. This combustible pressure gas is introduced into a nozzle body 20 from an inlet port 22 and passed through a venturi portion 24 in the nozzle body 20. Then, it is drawn into an intake passage 11 and mixed air in the passage 11. When the gas passes through the vanturi portion 24, liquid fuel is drawn into the nozzle body 20 from a fuel inlet port 21 and ejected into the gas flwo from a nozzle 25. By this fuel drawing effect, liquid fuel is ejected into air and atomized into fine particles, so that the liquid fuel can be well mixed with air.
