Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the monitor reception of the character broadcast through a plane display unit while looking at a TV picture on a CRT and to display when necessary the character information in colors on the CRT, by providing not only an ordinary CRT display part but a plane display unit. CONSTITUTION:A TV signal containing the character signal received through an antenna 1 is selected by a tuner 2. This selected signal is led into a video wave detecting circuit 3 and then supplied to a TV receiving circuit 4 and a character receiving circuit 8 after the amplification of intermediate frequency and video wave detection. The video signal processed by the circuit 4 is displayed to a CRT6, and at the same time the character signal is sampled out of the TV signal through the circuit 8 and then receives the discriminating process. Then the pattern and color data are sampled to be stored in the memories. The output of a character broadcast operation button 9 which is provided in addition to a TV channel selection button is applied to the circuit 8. The data given from the circuit 8 is displayed to an EL display unit 7 and also displayed selectively on the CRT6 via a CRT driving circuit 5.
