Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the double feed of a sheet by moving a roller for passing a sheet and a frictonal member in opposite direction thereby feeding the excessive sheet to be double fed to a branch.
CONSTITUTION: A feed roller 9 and a frictional member 10 to be pressure contacted against the outer-circumferential face are arranged in the advancing direction of a paper roll. The feed roller 9 is rotated in the arrow direction (b) while the frictional member 10 is rotated in the arrow direction (c) with the speed slower than that of the feed roller 9. When a plurality of roll papers are fed simultaneously between the roller 9 and said member 10, the force is applied in the advancing direction on the uppermost roll paper from the roller 9, while the force is applied in the opposite direction on the lowermost paper from said member 10 to place the leading edge of the uppermost paper in front of that of the other roll paper, and the passing of the paper is detected by a sensor 15 then after passing predetermined time the roll paper except the uppermost one is fed by a branch member 13 to a tray 16.
