Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce size and thickness by providing a locking mechanism which locks a rotary arm when an inserted cassette half is press in to a prescribed position and unlocks it under an ejection command. CONSTITUTION:An unlocking lever 38 presses down the tip part of a lever 4 to disengage the pawl 4b of the lever 4 and the projection 6b of a lever 6 from each other. Consequently, the lever 6 moves to right and the projection 6c engages with one end of rotary arm 11, which turns counterclockwise. The rotation of the arm 11 permits a cassette holder 16, a cassette supporting plate 19, and an auxiliary arm 20 to lift a cassette half 15 while holding it. When the cassette half 15 is elevated, the pin 6b of the lever 6 engages with the slanting surface of a lever 13 moves to the right to turn the lever 13 clockwise, and once the elevation of the cassette half 15 is completed, a pin 2b stuck to a cassette press lever 2 is unlocked.
