Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the moisture between the valve member and its seat from being frozen by holding the valve member apart from the valve seat when the coil is not energized.
CONSTITUTION: A return spring 40 is inserted between the first movable iron core 34 and fixed iron core 22, while the first movable iron core 34 is pushed rightward, and in addition, a small compression coil spring 16 with a smaller spring force than that of return spring 40 is interposed between rod 32 penetrating through the second movable iron core 42 and valve member 66. The constitution provides capability of holding valve member 66 apart from valve seat 64 when the first and second coils 14, 16 are not energized, and thus the moisture existing between valve member 66 and valve seat 64 can be prevented from freezing.
