Abstract

PURPOSE:To display an image in the same state as the movement of recording paper in the normal operation of a facsimile receiver for monitoring with a TV receiver, by shifting and displaying a facsimile image successively on a screen every time a facsimile signal is received. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile signal received by a facsimile receiving circuit FXR is sent to a storage device REC through a control circuit CTL, and the received signal is recorded on the recorder REC. For monitoring this recording state on the image display part DSP of a TV receiver, etc., the received signal is stored in a memory MM through the operation of a write address counter WAC, and an image signal of every scanning line of the recorder REC is stored and read by a read address counter RAC to be displayed on a display part DSP. For monitoring the signal, the prescribed scanning start position of the display part DSP is changed under the control of a control circuit CTL every time the signal is received, and a facsimile image is shifted successively and displayed on a screen, thus performing the display in the same state as the movement of recording paper.
