Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture corrugated cardboard of superior quality with high producibility by applying an adhesive to the corrugation peak parts of corrugated core paper by an applicator equipped with a small-gap rip part which can be heated or cooled.
CONSTITUTION: Core paper 1 for corrugated cardboard is corrugated by being passed between two stage rolls 2 and 3. An applicator 4 provided near the stage roll 3 couples with a pump 5 and a tank 6 through piping 8 and extrudes an adhesive 7 in the tank 6 through the pump 5 from a narrow rip part to stick it to peak parts of the corrugation over the overall width of the core paper 1. The core paper 1 is press-stuck to liner paper 10 by a pressure roll 9, and thus the core paper 1 and liner paper 10 are stuck together to obtain one-sided corrugated cardboard 11.
