Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a primer composition having excellent transparency, adhesivity, water-resistance, heat-resistance, weatherability, corrosion resistance, and workability, and containing a specific compound having a biuret bond.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition of formula (R1WR3 are 1W10C alkyl or alkoxy; R4 is a group obtained by removing amino group from 1W10C aminoalkyl group or aminoalkoxy group; R5 and R6 are organic polyisocyanate residue; n is 1W30) is obtained by (1) reacting (i) an organic polyisocyanate such as diphenylmethane diisocyanate, etc. with (ii) an aminosilane compound such as γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, etc. at 45W80°C in a solvent at a molar ratio of 4/10W20/10, and (2) converting the resultant urea group-containing silane compound to a biuret with an organic polyisocyanate at a molar ratio of 2.0/ 10W6.5/10 at 110W160°C.
