Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the solubility against solvent and to increase the frequency characteristics, by using a specific binding agent to a lower magnetic layer other than the uppermost layer, in overlapping >=2 magnetic layers on a base. CONSTITUTION:To a binding agent consisting of a mixture in which (A) phenoxy resin and (B) butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer having activated hydrogen are mixed so that the weight ratio of (A):(B) is 9:1-5:5, and of 10wt% of (C) isocyanate compound having >=2 isocyanate radicals (e.g., tolylene diisocianate), magnetic power and organic solvents are added to obtain a magnetic paint. Next, the said magnetic paint is coated on a base and dried. After the lower magnetic layer is formed by curing for 6-120hr at 0-80 deg.C, the upper magnetic layer is formed by coating the magnetic paint including a normal magnetic layer.
