Abstract
PURPOSE:To seek a possible-to-travel distance by using remainder of fuel and also to prevent an automobile from stopping because of running out of fuel while running, in a trip computer of automobile, by making operation and indication of possible-to-travel distance by using an appropriately selected fuel constant and data of remainder of fuel. CONSTITUTION:To a controlling computer 1, a crystal oscillator 8, a car-speed signal detecting sensor 12 utilizing a photosensor and an ignition switch 15, etc. are connected. Further, by selecting fan cushion key switches (S) 21-27, an information is indicated on a display element 34. And, a fuel sesor 39 detects remainder of fuel. By S 21-23, a time, an elapsed time and a possible-to-travel distance are indicated. When the possible-to-travel distance is being indicated by selection of S24, if S25 is further selected, a fuel constant, which was used as a base for calculation of the possible-to-travel distance, is indicated, and is S25 is continuously selected, the possible-to-travel distance is operated by the fuel constant and remainder of fuel which have been shown, and then, the possible- to-travel distance sought from remainder of fuel is indicated on the element 34.
