Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an immobilized mold spore having a very high growth rate of the hyphae in the lattice and high enzymic activity, by entrapping and immobilizing a mold spore in a specific photopolymerized photosetting resin.
CONSTITUTION: A mold spore is suspended in an aqueous solvent to give an aqueous suspension containing preferably about 105W1013 spores /ml. The resultant suspension is then thoroughly mixed with a photopolymerizable resin having photopolymerizable olefinic unsaturated groups at both ends of polyalkylene glycol and an average molecular weight of 2,000W6,000, and the resultant mixture is then irradiated with light at a wavelength of preferably about 250W 600nm to polymerize the photopolymerizable resin.
