Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify and regularly arrange a control air piping of the above described fixture positioning and holding body side panels of an automobile, by arranging a control valve, controlling operation of a holding jig, concentrically to the central part. CONSTITUTION:When a body side is conveyed, the whole unit of a fixture 1 is moved forward and approximated to a body side panel. Compressed air is fed from a compressed air supply source through a connection pipe 23 to reach a valve 20 provided in the central part of the fixture 1. The valve 20 is controlled by a controller in a terminal box to feed the fed compressed air to an air cylinder 18, and the body side panel is held positioning by jigs 14a, 15a. In this constitution, communication pipes 22, 23 in an extensibly short distance are only required simultaneously with a minimum power loss of compressed air.
