PURPOSE:To shorten the constructing process and reduce the cost of an underground tank by adopting a monolithic construction for a side wall and a bottom board constructed of membrane, main body concrete, and heat-insulating material made in one body with this main body concrete. CONSTITUTION:The side wall structure of an underground tank 7 is constructed of membrane 31, mainbody concrete 11, and heat-insulating material 21 from the inner circumference of the tank toward the outer circumference. A bottom board is constructed similarly. At this stage, at least for the heat-insulating material 21 of the side wall, the process of water proofing is desirable, and the heat-insulating material 21 of the side wall is constructed together with a cntinuous underground wall 12. This construction permits to shorten the whole constructing process as reducing the cost and make the heat-insulating materials 21 in one body with the main body concrete 11 along with the continuous underground wall.
