Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a laminated sheet having good dimensional stability and heat resistance and excellent punchability, chemical resistance, and electrical characteristics, by using varnish composed mainly of a novolak phenolic resin containing diallyl phthalate.
CONSTITUTION: A varnish composed mainly of a novolak phenolic resin having a number-average molecular weight of 200W600 and consisting of a phenolic compound containing 0.1W20% diallyl phthalate, is impregnated in the substrate of a laminated sheet, dried, and hot-pressed. The novolak phenolic resin is a novolak aromatic hydrocarbon phenolic resin obtained by the reaction of an aromatic hydrocarbon formaldehyde resin with 1W5mol, based on 1 atomic weight of the oxygen atom contained in said resin, of a phenolic compound containing 0.1W 20% diallyl phthalate in the presence of an acidic catalyst, or a modified resin obtained by modifying 100pts. of the above resin with 10W100pts. of a drying oil.
