Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled liquid composition having low odor and excellent moisture-proofness, etc., and useful for the manufacturing of food packing paper, etc., by mixing a rosin ester, liquid paraffin, and saponified fatty acid to a paraffin wax, and then mixing the mixture with a sorbitan ester emulsifier and water.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 50W90pts.wt. of a solid paraffin wax having a melting point of 40W70°C is mixed with (B) 30W90pts. of an ester having a softening point of 50W150°C and a residual acid value of 0W50 and derived from rosin or maleic or fumaric rosin and a polyhydric alcohol, (C) 5W10pts. of liquid paraffin having a dynamic viscosity of 80W100cst and a pour point of ≤-10°C, and (D) 5W10pts. of a material obtained by saponifying a 10W20C straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated fatty acid with an alkali metal hydroxide or an alkanolamine such as diethanolamine, in a container. The mixture is added with a sorbitan ester emulsifier and a proper amount of water, and stirred to obtain an emulsion.
