Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition, containing a synthetic copolymeric latex containing a nonionic surfactant and an organopolysiloxane, having a specific particle diameter distribution and a filler as principal components, and having a specified pH, improved bonding strength, water resistance and viscosity stability with time.
CONSTITUTION: A composition obtained by incorporating (A) a synthetic copolymeric latex, preferably a styrene-butadiene copolymer containing 0.5W5.0wt% ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, containing a nonionic surfactant in an amount of preferably 0.5W3.0pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. solid content in the component (A), and an organopolysiloxane, preferably dimethylpolysiloxane- ethylene oxide copolymer in an amount of preferably 0.05W5.0pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. solid content in the component (A), and having an average particle diameter of 1,400W2,500Å, in which the number of particles having a particle diameter of 400W1,200Å is 10W40% and the number of particles having a particle diameter of 1,500W3,000Å is 60W90% with a filler, preferably calcium bicarbonate, etc. in an amount of 100W600pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. solid content in the component (A) as principal components, and adjusting the pH to 6W9.
