Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a titled device and form deep grooves without being restricted structurally by pressing an oscillatable bladelike body having a convex curved blade edge part onto th surface of a slab thereby forming a groove.
CONSTITUTION: When a driving shaft 17a is moved forward and backward by operating a driving device 16, a lever 15 oscillates around a shaft 19 while its long hole 15 a is slipping with the shaft 19, in accordance with which a bladelike body 8 oscillates around a fulcrum shaft 10, thereby shearing the surface of a slab 5 longitudinally. Here, the distance L from the fulcrum shaft 18 at the lever 15 up to a fulcrum (shaft 19) is set considerably larger than the distance from the fulcrum up to the fulcrum shaft 16. Hence, the force exerted upon the body 8 is made exceedingly larger by the lever action of the lever 15 than the force exerted upon the driving device 17, and this permits the use of the device 17 of a relatively small size.
