Abstract
PURPOSE: Secondary and/or tertiary potassium phosphate are dried together with gelatin and sodium casein to produce a potassium phosphate composition with improved hygroscopic agglomeration.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing potassium secondary phosphate and/or potassium tertiary phosphate and gelatin and/or sodium casein (50W 200wt% based on the phosphates) is dried to produce a potassium phosphate composition with improved hygroscopic agglomeration. The resultant composition is just like microcapsules of potassium phosphate contained in gelatin or casein shells and does not cause hygroscopic agglomeration, even when it is placed in such an atmosphere as usual products causing agglomeration or deliquescence.
